Gift card lost in post by Royal Mail - END Newcastle refuse to issue replacement or transfer my credit over to my END account. Despite retaining purchase receipt & gift card receipt detailing everything to cross reference on their system. Later raised a complaint online and was told to contact the store 🤦🏻♂️. I don’t want a refund, all I ask it to be able to use the credit I rightfully purchased.
I’ve been an End customer since the mid 2010s - back when they had the HUNTING store. Admittedly not as frequently recently as I’ve been living abroad. I was shocked to see how low the standards have dropped. Still a premium store but the service & stock is awful. Rude, patronising staff. Such a shame - End used to be the no.1 spot in the North East with real charm & character. Now no different to the likes of flannels. Soulless. Sales staff talk to you as if you’re not qualified to shop there. Save yourself a headache and visit Jules B or Fenwicks
I've been a regular customer at End for years. So I was somewhat startled to find a member of staff, possibly a store detective, unsubtly following me around the store like a putrid smell. As Fenwick's offers an increasingly similar range of clothes, we have a new Carhartt store, and we are blessed with the ever reliable and independently owned Union, I'm more than happy to take my custom to other shops in Newcastle that don't make me feel so uncomfortable that I feel obliged to leave.
